what ernie ball strings should i get?
my guitar buzzes a lot, i want to be able to have high action without the buzz.(high action is strings closer to the fret board right?) i had to ajust my neck to get the buzz to go away, but that lifted the strings pretty high off the fret board.
i want strings you can play fast on, with good tone. but i would sacrifice speed for quality. my guesses are either super slinky or heavy slinky... complete opposites, which one do you think?
high action is the opposite actually, low action is the strings low to the fret board... hmm, you could try the lighter for the smaller strings, so there is less string that could cause buzz, or you could go with heavier so that they stay tighter to the nut and dont vibrate quite as much. i personally go with .10s whenever i can, which is a bit heavier than usual, but still pretty standard, and my guitars are all fine(unless i detune). it could also depend on the guitar. if you want lower action, you can file down the nut, but you have to be careful with that because if you mess up, you have to replace it. filing too much can just make the problem worse. it may be best just to take it to maybe a local guitar shop and have them mess with it a bit to get it set up correctly.
