What electric bass is good for bossa nova or jazz?
I'm looking to get a 5 string or 6 string bass. What are some good bases to choose for bossa nova and/or jazz.
There is no such thing as a stratocaster bass.
The one I would get is a Fender precision bass or jazz bass. It depends if you want a brighter sound or darker sound. Precision, i've noticed, has more lows and the frets are further apart from each other. A lot of people like Jazz basses more because they are more comfortable to play. I would recommend a 5 string just for the sake of it being more comfortable, in my opinion, to play. Another bass that is sweet is the Human base 5 string http://www.humanbaseusa.com/5string.htm
