How do I adjust the black choke knob on my 2007 vstar 1100?
hey everyone..i just bought a 2007 vstar 1100 and i keep fowling plugs... i have been messing with the choke ajustment and now i dont know where it is supose to be. ..could anyone help me...its the black little knob next to the carbs....thanks,

If your talking about the round black knob with the serrated edge on the left side under the tank near the carbs.......that is the idle adjustment. That should have nothing to do with fouling plugs even if it is set wrong. The bike should idle at 950-1100 RPM's. Unfortunately without a diagnostic tach almost impossible to tell. You'll just have to set the idle by sound. Better a little too high (fast) then too slow on the V* as they don't like too low an idle. (Don't lug it while riding either)
Remember what it sounded like before you changed it? Try set it around there.
About your plugs. Could be running too rich. That CAN happen by running the choke too long. The choke lever is on the left handlebar below the high/low beam switch. Definitely use that only for starting and not for long periods. That could be part of the problem.
The only time I have experience fouled plugs on mine (23,000 miles) is when I let it sit over the winter, the gas was bad and I ran it without changing the gas. But, since your is new I don't think that's an issue. Just warning you for the future.
