Gibson Vintage Mahogany Les Paul vs. Studio Les Paul!
Which is a better guitar. I would think the Vintage Mahogany is because it has BurstBucker Pro pickups (same as the old and new 2008 Standards). But a lot of people love the Studio. Thoughts?
The Les Paul vintage mahogany IS a LP studio, only with different pickups and a different studio. It's many times marked as a studio - and It says it on the headstock.
I just got done playing 'em at Guitar Center. They're both good guitars, but I prefer the studio (with the exception of pickups of course.) because the studio has a better finish, IMO. The vintage mahogany finish really isn't that nice if you see it in person and check it out. It's a nice guitar, though - very nice. It just feels very dry, and the neck isn't too fast because of it.
